Mitt Work

 

A mitt work training must focus on technic, tactic, reactive power and ring intelligence.

Working the mitts offers some of the best conditioning for boxers because of the pace, concentration and intensity it requires.

 

The coach give with the mitts the boxer the targets for the punches, leads the direction to move forward or back and left or right, the intensity and the rythm. The boxer react on it precisly and powerful and as fast as he/she can. Best way for mitt working is to do it with round intervals like the competition rounds you train for.
